GENERAL MEETING, 13th March 2010

Meetings are always a chance to find out more about what has been happening in the association as well as to catch up with old friends and maybe make new ones.  Our guest speaker for this meeting was Steve Taylor who challenged himself to a marathon walk.   This ‘walk’ raised $36, 000 in aide of “Rosies” which is an outreach charity for homeless people.

BEAUDESERT VIP SUPPORT GROUP – CHRISTMAS 2009

A great event, well supported by members, friends, the business community and support organisations.

STRADBROKE ISLAND – 28th March, 2009

The happy group met in Adelaide Street in Brisbane to join the bus bound for Stradbroke Island. We travelled in airconditioned comfort to Cleveland. Not deterred by a little rain, we boarded the ferry to the island. One of the highlights of the day was the visit to the Queensland University Moreton Bay Marine Research.

A barbecue lunch prepared by the Fraser family awaited us at the Anchorage Resort and many people took the opportunity to get some sand between their toes after lunch.

 Point Lookout and The Gorge Walk are always a highlight of a trip to “Straddie”.
